Recipe: Mushroom Sausage Pasta

 


Ingredients 

(Sorry, no exact measurements.. just whatever was left in the fridge!)

-Pasta of choice 

-Plenty of sliced mushrooms 

-3 sausages, sliced into pieces 

-3-4 heads of broccoli, chopped into small pieces

-Chili flakes 

-cherry tomatoes 

-3 cloves of garlic

Sauce 

-Olive oil for main base of the sauce 

-4-5 tablespoons of pesto (can add more, we ran out)

-Grated pecorino cheese 


Directions 

-Boil water for the pasta, adding plenty of salt 

-Heat a large on medium-high heat sauce pan, adding plenty of olive oil and the garlic to start  

-After dicing your sausage and mushrooms, add to the pan.

-Slowly add the rest of the ingredients, seasoning with plenty of chili flakes and olive oil throughout. The tomatoes can be added last to be sure they do not over cook

-Once the water is boiling add in the pasta and cook aldente.

-Once the pasta is cooked, strain and pour into the pan with the mushrooms and sausage. Add your sauce and lastly top with the pecorino.
